The last week of the month is rough for families with very limited income. One way to assist them is to reduce their food expenses by providing hot, home-cooked, family meals during those last few days of the month. Neighborhood families can come and eat meals prepared by volunteers instead of eating whatever sparse food they may or may not be able to find in their cupboards at home. For many of these families, sitting down to eat a full meal together is an uncommon luxury. Adults and children can come together and enjoy a fully-prepared, hearty meal at our “Hope in the City” Youth and Family Center on the west-side in the City of San Bernardino.
