MATTHEW'S HARVEST
What Is Matthew’s Harvest?
Inspired by the Gospel of Matthew 25:35
“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me.”
Matthew’s Harvest is a parish-supported initiative from Catholic Charities San Bernardino & Riverside Counties that brings nourishment, compassion, and connection to families in need.
Each Matthew’s Harvest box provides four healthy meals for a family of four, along with bilingual recipes and information connecting families to vital wraparound services.
Our mission is to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry while promoting dignity, hope, and long-term well-being.
How It Works?
Partner with Your Parish
Parishes across San Bernardino and Riverside Counties can join the Matthew’s Harvest initiative. Boxes are available to all 92 parishes, ensuring every community can take part in alleviating hunger.
Provide and Distribute Boxes
Each Matthew’s Harvest box costs $19.78 to sponsor and provides over $40 in value to a family. Parishes can sponsor, distribute, or host pickup events to reach those who need help most.
Connect Families to Resources
Through the QR code and Catholic Charities programs, families gain access not only to food but also to pathways toward self-sufficiency, including nutrition education, career support, and health services.
