OUR STORY
Since 1980, Catholic Charities San Bernardino & Riverside Counties has been a trusted source of hope and empowerment for individuals and families. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the Official Social Outreach Ministry of the Diocese of San Bernardino, we welcome people of all backgrounds, offering care and resources to help them overcome challenges and build brighter futures. Our motto, “Providing Help, Creating Hope,” reflects our mission to address immediate needs while fostering long-term growth and self-reliance. Through food assistance, housing support, counseling, and more, we positively impact thousands of lives each year. We believe strong families are the foundation of thriving communities. By partnering with individuals and local organizations, we advocate for those in need, ensuring everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered. Yes. We are the Official Social Outreach Ministry of the Diocese. We are also a separate 501(c)3 public benefit non-profit organization. So Catholic Charities is both a faith-based and a community-based non-profit organization. |
No. We serve the entire community. We do not ask about religious affiliation. CC does not discriminate nor proselytize. |
Services are provided from four(4) full time regional centers and multiple part-time service locations throughout the two-county area of San Bernardino & Riverside Counties. |
Generally, M-F from 8:30-4:30. Some services may be available in the early evenings and Saturdays at certain locations. Many of our offices are closed from 12:00pm-1pm for lunch. |
You can donate on our website, by mail, or by phone. All contributions are tax-deductible. If you wish, you can designate your donation for any program or service. |
We have very little storage space and few options for pick-ups. Often the better option is to contact a non-profit agency that is set-up to accept and pick-up used donated items such as Goodwill or Salvation Army. Exceptions are possible if we have an immediate need for certain items. We do not accept mattresses or used child care seats.
Typically, we are unable to accept walk-ins in order for our staff to better service our clients with a previously scheduled appointment.

We provide a wide-range of assistance to families in five core programs: 1) Hunger Relief, 2) Immigration Services, 3) Counseling Services, 4) Career Advisory, and 5) Healthcare enrollment. |
Catholic Charities helps all people in need. Generally, we serve poor and low-income families that are facing an immediate crisis and have nowhere else to turn for help. |
